Over the next several years, The Forgotten International plans to establish over 20 donor groups that will help fund a variety of projects in the U.S. and in countries across the world. These donor groups provide resources that go towards programs that improve the health, education and daily lives of impoverished women and children. In addition, we assist individuals interested in giving their time to needy organizations worldwide. These committed individuals offer a priceless resource, their time and professional expertise. We will soon post guidelines for volunteering in programs abroad. By simply bringing together those who can help with those who need help, and offering a mutual exchange of experiences, we have the potential for transforming thousands, if not millions of lives. This is work The Forgotten International helps to facilitate. |

Why Use Donor Groups? Donor groups are formed with the idea that combating poverty is a collective effort and that by combining resources we can make a greater difference. Also, by creating an infrastructure within the group we can better institutionalize their giving plan, making it more effective in the long term. |
Designation of Funds Donor groups or individuals can specify a project or a piece of a project that they would like to see fulfilled with the use of their funds. For example, in 2008 the San Jose Rotary made a donation to TFI with the specification that a certain amount fund a fellowship for a graduate student to teach in a village school in Uganda that summer. |
| Kusumpur Village School in India was given much-needed resources during a TFI group visit in 2006. |
